Day 1:- Mamallapuram sightseeing:-
This city was a port during the Pallava period. It has some of the most beautiful rock cut temples in South India. It also is home to the famous Shore Temple that is unique because Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu are housed in the same sanctum and realistic 15,000 years-old Dravidian-age temple. Arjuna's Penance Nothing can prepare you for the wonderful bas-reliefs covering two huge boulders. The exquisite detail, dating from the 7th century, depicts the flow of the Ganges down from the Himalayan mountains as well as scenes from Indian daily life. The Five Rathas You won't believe that these shrines are carved whole from an outcrop of rock. Each of the five temples is dedicated to heroes from the great epic of the Mahabharata. Spend time admiring the detail of the carvings which include gods, humans and elephants and wonder why the temples are incomplete and were never consecrated.

Day 2:- Kancheepuram sightseeing:-
Today morning you are proceeding to Kanchipuram (one way is 70kms/2hrs) one of the seven sacred cities of India. There now remain about 126 temples in Kanchi and a few more in its outskirts. The city was the capital of the early Cholas and it was the Pallava capital between the 6th and 8th centuries. We are starting the tour with Ekambareswarar Temple, Originally built by the Pallavas, this large Shiva temple was later reconstructed by the Chola and Vijaynagara kings. Here, Lord Shiva is worshipped as Earth or Prithvi, one of the five elements. The dimensions of this temple are reflected in its 20-acre spread and its tall south gopuram, which soars to a height of 58.5m. Out next stop is Kailasanathar Temple. Raja Simha, the father of Mahendravarman built this ancient temple in 81th Century A.D and later completed it. It is built in the typical Pallava style, with a pyramidal tower, a pillared hall and vestibule, enclosed by a wall. The temple is famous for exquisite carvings and attracts devotees and tourists alike. There are 58 small shrines situated around the main shrine, as a compound wall. Fresco style paintings adorn the inner walls of the temple. Varatharaja Perumal Temple would be another architectural wonder of Pallava.

Day 3:- Crocodile Bank and Catamaran ride-
In the morning you are proceeding to Crocodile park (One way is 15 kms/30 min). This Crocodile Bank is one of the largest reptile zoos in the world and one of the oldest non government environmental organizations in Asia. It is spread over eight and a half acres of land and is home to over 2500 reptiles. It’s an opportunity to have an interactive experience with the various denizens at the zoo and you can enjoy the snake section as well.

After lunch hours you are proceeding to Catamaran ride in the sea. This ride can be done in small fishing boats to take you into the sea. The Catamaran ride will be excitement and adventures even if it is short and mild. The traditional fisherman’s Catamaran or fishing boat carved out of wood now has a better use: it has become an adventure/tourist activity for customers all over the world. The catamaran is a rough-looking boat that rides slow on waters. This ride will take around an hour and covers 2 to 3 kms approximately. It will be operated by local fishermen who know all about sea and jackets will be given before ride.

09:00 AM – KAPALEESHWARAR TEMPLE
We can start our energetic day with the blessing of Lord shiva who is famously known as Kapaleeshwarar. The Arulmigu Kapaleeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and was built approximately in seventh century. The Gopuram inside the temple marks as a unique example of Dravidian architectural style. A traveller cannot help but notice the inscriptions in the premises of the temple that date back to 12th century.

10:00 AM – SANTHOME CHURCH
Built in the 16th century by Portuguese and rebuilt by the British in 1893, San Thome Basilica is a Catholic minor basilica. Today what stands is the British form, constructed in the Neo-Gothic style, the favored architectural style in late 19th century of the British architects. Resplendent in white and appearing more like a small luminous castle, the church gains its distinction from the fact that it is one of the only three churches in the world built over tomb of one of the twelve apostles of Christ, being that of St. Thomas in case of San Thome.

11:00 AM – VIVEKANADA HOUSE
Vivekananda house is an important pilgrimage and shrine amongst the followers of Swami Vivekananda. It is also famously known as the Ice House. This house was built in the year 1877. It is believed that Swami Vivekananda used to stay here. The house had been built in beautiful Victorian architecture. The bedroom of Swami Vivekananda where he used to stay and meditate is now a good place to meditate.

Chennai city has been a proud home to the first British establishment in India, Fort St. George. It was initially developed as a trading post and later served as the origin of the modern Indian Army. Fort St. George is of great historical importance and a sure architectural marvel that has stood the tests of time. The Fort Museum is a grand, three-storey showroom displaying antiquities spanning from swords, daggers, rifles, pistols, cannon shots, mortars, helmets, uniforms of Army officers, medals, medallions, official porcelain tableware, portraits, oil paintings, and a host of other imperial enchantments.

The Victory War Memorial is situated on the Beach Road near island ground at the beginning of Marina Beach. It was built to honour the memory of soldiers who died during the two world wars. The Victory War Memorial was initially constructed to celebrate the victory of allied armies during World War I. It later became a War Memorial after World War II in the memory of those from Madras presidency who lost their lives while fighting. The Victory War Memorial is known for the inscriptions of 1962 war with China, 1948 Kashmir aggression, Kargil Operations and the Indo-Pak War.

MARINA BEACH
World's second largest urban beach and the country's largest, Marina Beach is a popular hangout of humans and sea-animals alike in Chennai. While swimming or taking a dip in the sea is not possible at Marina beach, it is legally prohibited, there are a range of activities to indulge in at the beach if the distant horizon with huge waves crashing around don't have you spellbound for hours on end. An endless sandy expanse stretching from Fort George to Besant Nagar, while Marina beach is possibly one of the cleanest you will come across in India.

The Government Museum also known as Egmore Museum or the Madras Museum is the second oldest museum in India. The Government Museum originated from the museum in Madras which was planned by the Madras Literary Society in 1846. 02:30 PM – THOUSAND LIGHTS MOSQUE
The Thousand Lights Mosque spread over an area of three acres is one of the largest mosques in India and is situated on Anna Salai Road. Built by Nawab Umdat-ul-Umra in 1810, the mosque bears a story behind its name. It is said that 1000 lights needed to be lit in order to illuminate the assembly hall and hence it was named Thousand Lights Mosque. It is also believed that the lights were lit by the Indian National Congress to mark their first visit to Madras.
